MonsterGov’s Letter to CHCOs on Conflicting OPM Guidance and Clarity from OMB
Since OPM issued its Merit Hiring Plan, some agencies have raised concerns around conflicting guidance from OPM and their campaigning of a consolidation to USA Staffing. MonsterGov issued a letter to agency CHCOs on June 16 providing clarity from OMB and affirming your agency’s MHME TAS is still a viable, qualified and compliant option. In addition, OMB clarified with MonsterGov that any suggestions of that consolidation is incorrect and misleading, and offered agencies to reach out with any concerns. Details on the post below.

How MHME Enables the Merit Hiring Plan
MonsterGov provided agency users of the Monster Hiring Management Enterprise (MHME) federal talent acquisition system (TAS) with details on how we match up to the Merit Hiring Plan. Many components of the Merit Hiring Plan were existing initiatives – sharing certificates, skills-based assessments, and reducing time-to-hire – hence why MHME is already well aligned. Even better, MHME is a FedRAMP-authorized, commercial solution that goes beyond what OPM’s USA Staffing can offer, such as a modern and efficient Position Classification system. Last Friday, Corner members should have received an email notification about the new, short essay questions now in MHME!
